After a relaxing break celebrating Christmas, birthdays and the start of a new year, its back to focusing on the business for 2014.
If you haven’t already done so, now is a good time to sit down review 2013. Think about your business and goals for 2014 and how you can achieve them.
Making New Year’s resolutions can be good if they are achievable. They are a great way to start the New Year focused and enthused for the year ahead. It is better to set realistic goals that are achievable as it is a greater boost to your moral and confidence.
Make a list of your goals and break them down into easier to achieve steps with realistic timescales. Take the time to set SMART goals which are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.
SMART goals can also work for your personal goals too as it is good to have a work-life balance.
My plans for 2014 include:
- Taking on some more clients
- Create business packages
- Learn some new skills that will benefit my business and clients
- Spend time writing and scheduling social media and blog posts
- Developing business relationships with local businesses
Try something new and make 2014 a year to remember!
