Twitter is a real-time online social networking service that enables its users to send and read messages of up to 140 characters known as tweets.

It is pretty straightforward to set up an account on Twitter either for personal or business use:Twitter

Go to

Complete your details in the Sign Up box.

Click Sign up for Twitter.

Select a Username.

What is a Username?

Usernames are unique identifiers on Twitter and can be up to 15 characters long.

Twitter will inform you if the username you have selected is already taken and will suggest others.

Just a quick note that you cannot have a username with ‘admin’ or ‘twitter’ in order to avoid brand confusion although you can replace the letter i with the number 1 ie Adm1n.

Double-check your name, email address, password, and username.

You can only use your email address for one Twitter account, so if you have two Twitter accounts, you will need two different email addresses. Your email address is not publicly visible on Twitter.

Click Create My Account and complete the Captcha information to let Twitter know that you are human.

Go to your email to confirm your new Twitter account.

You are now set up and ready to find and follow other Twitter accounts!

If you need help with setting up your Twitter account or managing your posts, then get in touch.

We would love to hear from you.
