Headers and footers are blank areas at the top or bottom of a page, where you can add:
- your company logo
- page numbers
- document owner
It is possible to show details on just the first page or throughout the document. To have different information showing in the header and footer areas, create a section break in the document.
Having page numbers for a large document can be quite useful especially if the pages get put in the wrong order.
You can also create headers and footers in Excel spreadsheets.
